Michael passed away after a courageous battle on 3rd August 2026. Dearly loved brother of Faye, Stephen, Shaun and Craig.
Michael will be sadly missed by his loving family and many dear friends.

Mick is sadly missed and he has left a big hole in my life for one.
The last 7 years together with family and friends we tried to make what was a struggle for Mick into a time of making some fond memories as a distraction from his illness.
It’s incredible to think that he was given only 5 months to live as a result of his diagnosis of lung and liver cancer.
Yet here we are years later saying farewell to him!
You fought a great fight Mick, one I thought would never end, and I hope despite the struggle that you enjoyed those final years.

Hey Mick,I truly regret not having a closer relationship with you since I moved to Queensland,I guess distance does that.But I’ll always cherish memories of the fishing and camping trips we took as kids with Mum and Dad,they were great times. Love and miss you your sister Faye

Mick was a salt of the earth man. My heartfelt condolences to you Steve. You were a tower of strength and support to brother Mick and especially so throughout his long cancer battle. You enriched his life, giving him some bucket list experiences which I’m sure contributed to him defying the odds and surviving as long as he did and becoming ‘Miracle Man Mick’. Not to mention being his rock throughout the complex medical marathon and emotional roller coaster. Today, 13 August, would have been Mick’s 70th birthday so let’s all charge our glasses and send ‘Cheers to Mick’. May you rest in peace.
Today, on what would have been your 70th birthday, we remember you with both sadness and gratitude.
You were given just five months to live, yet you defied the odds and fought your battle with cancer for seven challenging years.
You also had a wonderful ability to take life as it came. Always in your thongs, whatever the weather or the elements, you were ready for the next adventure. And wherever we went, you could strike up a conversation with anyone.
You joined our bushwalks , leaving behind nice memories laughs, photos only you can pose for.

Happy birthday Mick. We had some good times and some bad times but we had some really good times at the Bathurst car racing.
Always a pleasure to have a chat,and occasional beer with you when ever we crossed paths at Steve’s,the pub or club or around Padstow .Rest in peace Mick.

We hadn’t seen each other since we were teenagers, but I’m so glad we got to meet again for a couple of hours recently.
Reminiscing on our family and old times, it didn’t matter how much time had passed it was just really good to reconnect and catch up before he left us.
