We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Josef Frantisek Dohnal, loving husband, father and grandfather, who was born on 8 December 1937 in Lazniky, Morava, Czechoslovakia, and passed away peacefully on 8 March 2025 at the Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital in the presence of his devoted and beloved wife, Tania Dohnal.
Josef is also survived by his children Tatiana Benc and Jaroslav Dohnal, his grandchildren Lukas Benc, Kristina Benc and Kayole Dohnal, his son-in-law Robert Benc and daughter-in-law Bamato Dohnal.
He Is Now At Rest After A Life Well Lived.
He will be sadly missed by all of his loving family and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that mourners consider making a donation in memory of Josef to the Fred Hollows Foundation, his favourite charity.

I am so deeply sorry and very sad to hear of losing Joe as not only was he one of the most devoted family men I have ever known ( and i have always wished I had in my family), but also he was one of the kindest, most supportive and comforting people to have had as a neighbour for both myself and previously my mother. He is a genuine loss to the world. Also my overwhelming sympathy and love to his devoted wife, Tania, as I know how devastating a loss this is for her as she and Joe had such a loving devoted partnership. My condolences and love to Tania and her family… I wish her comfort in her immeasurable grief and I hope to see her again when time allows
