1959 – 2023
Jane died on 14 December, 2023. She is greatly missed by friends, family, and former colleagues.
Up to the time of her passing, Jane was an active artist and part of her legacy is an accumulation of her paintings, prints, and weavings in natural materials. She also left a performance installation The Cry of the Whistler in her temporary studio at Kiah on the country she called home for the last 22 years of her life.
On Saturday 4th May at 2:00p.m., the newly rebuilt Kiah Hall will be the place for a celebration of Jane’s life. The hall situated just off the Princes Highway in Kiah Hall Road is about 15 minutes drive south of Eden. Light afternoon tea will be served.
If you intend joining this gathering, please RSVP by April 13 (text Don at 402487064 or email donasker@bigpond.com).

Dear Don, only this morning l discovered the sad news about gentle, kind, creative, talented Jane. Such a beautiful woman and exceptional dancer. Those HVDT days come flooding back and l still have some programs , newspaper stories and images if you would like them.
I bumped into Jane a couple of years ago at Erindale and we had a lovely chat. So, Don, there are few words at times like this but Onko and l would like you to know that you and Jane are very much in our thoughts and memories and we send much love to you. Jenny and Onko
