At rest now . I am so sorry for your loss Libby.
With loving thoughts

Lifelong memories of Alan’s wisdom, kindness, good humour and utter refusal to surrender to the limitations life had placed on him. We raise a full glass in gratitude for his warmth, friendship and generosity. Our love, Linda and Mark
Such an inspiration. Such a gentleman. Such good company.
I will always remember your smile and laugh Alan.
So sad for your loss Libby.
Love Deb
Indeed a real gentleman with such an interest in life around him. I was so impressed when he told me about all the different species of birds inhabiting the banks of the River Dordogne, in front of the house. I was always welcome when I called in, as a cheerful smile and a bottle of champagne greeted me. Sorely missed and a huge loss to you Libby. Alan was one on his own! R.I.P. Dear Alan

I met Alan in ’97, and my very first impressions were of innate kindness, quiet wisdom and unflagging good humour and generosity. Nothing in the decades that followed altered that view. He will be missed.
I will miss his always cheerful smile and wit, always brightening up the Merimbula Boardwalk and cafes. I will always remember him in his kilt, sharing a song with him and celebrating Robbie Burns. A sad loss to our community, a true gentleman always.
