Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Thursday 19th June 2025. Beloved husband of Tina. A dearly loved father, cherished Grandad, and loved brother. Wayne will be sadly missed by his loving family and many dear friends.

I have wonderful memories of Uncle Wayne, all centred around football. He was a passionate Collingwood man. I am a Richmond supporter.
In the 1980 Grand Final, both our teams played. After the final siren, and Richmond had won, I phoned Uncle Wayne, to sing the Tigers song. He promptly hung up on me!
Years later, when Collingwood made another GF, the cheer squad wanted to put the names of supports on the banner. Uncle Wayne asked if I could get his name on the banner which I did.
I remember when he moved to NSW and there was not the coverage of football as in Melbourne, my mum, Wayne’s sister used to cut out articles about Collingwood from the Herald Sun and post them to him.
