Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family on Saturday 11th April 2026. Beloved husband of Eleftheria (Ritsa) (Rita). Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Yota, John, Vicky and Marcos. Cherished Pappou of Max, Oscar, Sammy, Ruby, Ria, and Sotirios. Sotirios will be sadly missed by his loving family and many dear friends here and in Greece.

Now cutting hair in Heaven
A funeral service for Sotirios will be held at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 18 Stewart Street Wollongong on Friday 17th April 2026 at 10am. Following the service his funeral will proceed to Lakeside Memorial Park, Kanahooka Road Kanahooka.

So, so sorry for the loss of a beautiful man. I remember him skilfully cutting my hair as a young man, with his non-stop finger/scissor movements and gum-chewing as his signature style. Sammy, god bless and may your soul RIP. Condolences to the beautiful Kallimanis family.
Sammy was a truly beautiful person, inside and out. I bought his shop from him and even after selling it, he would regularly visit to check that everything was going well. May his soul rest in peace!
