Passed away peacefully on Wednesday 4th February 2026. Beloved husband of Noelene. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Jonathan and Mary, Michael and Vanessa, Alex and Meredith. Cherished Grandad of Georgia, Alicia, Tilda, Ella and Dom. Peter will be sadly missed by his loving family and many dear friends.

Sad to hear the passing of an absolute gentleman. Genuine, down to earth and great sense of humour. They do not make people like Peter anymore.

A truly special gentleman and honourable businessman
Farewell Mr Sturman and thank you for the guidance and example you gave me during my time at CEBS as a young bloke, which influenced me throughout my life. To the Sturman family, I am sorry you now have lost your husband, father, grandfather and wish you peace.
My husband Brian and I knew Peter when he led CEBS at St Marks for many years, at a time when our elder sons Dan and Paul were part of CEBS and enjoyed the sense of the Christian community and structure he created. His camps were legendary, with fathers helping out. In latter years Rev Campbell King and other fathers assisted with Christian talks. We were impressed with Peter’s level of commitment to these young men he served so faithfully till he retired.
