Sorry to about Peter I have fond memories as we start our apprenticeship together we were in the training centre & electrical shop and later the HSM mill..
Peter worked with us for 44 years.
He treated others with respect, was quick to smile and had the most recognizable voice in the coilers area!
His laugh was mischievous and he had a personality to match!
The event system shows he has contributed to 979 events since 2002, which seems like a small number. However, the impact he has had over the years is immeasurable, mostly because he rarely documented his work. But also because of all the effort and commitment Pete had to helping people. No one will ever know how many late night phone calls he received or how many hours he toiled in the back of the pulpit adapting and modifying the machine to keep us going!
We may never really know the scope of all Pete’s efforts but those of us who worked closely with him will be forever uncovering new clues in the code, searching for the true functionality of the machine. Like a never ending treasure hunt, our maps marked with Froggie’s slogan, FFFF (Forever Fixing Fitters Fu#kup’s).
You will be missed Pete!
Keep on making those Omelets!!
I was saddened to hear about the passing of my dear friend Peter. We worked together at the Coiler`s section of the HSM for many, many years. A humble man, respected every one even if you were from a mechanical background. I will cherish the photos of our achievements, your memories never forgotten.
Condolences to the family.
