Aged 81 Years

Teacher, Teacher Librarian, Trade Unionist, ex Assistant General Secretary of the NSW Teachers Federation.

Died 11th August after a sudden illness in Bulli Hospital. Beloved partner and wife of Charlie (deceased 2024) and much loved mother of Beth and Michael.

Eldest daughter of Jack and Val Leahey, and sister to Jan Hennessy (Balgownie) and Maria Luff (Jamberoo).

Longtime resident of Stanwell Park (54 years), Pat was a passionate advocate for public education and women’s rights, often blazing a path for both. She will be remembered for her love of good conversation, reading, food and swimming.

Pat will be very much missed by her family and friends.

No funeral service or memorial will be held as per her wishes.
