Nerida was a lovely person and we all miss her. We hope the family, especially John are ok.
Aunty Nerida will be remembered as a beautiful person – inside and out 💜
I’ll always remember her smiling face and gentle touch. Playing music – whether on the pianola in “The Old Manse” when I was a child or playing the piano and singing to my Lesley & James in my home decades later – always brought a smile to her face.
Her love of her family was strong. She always had positive stories to share about John, Sean and M’Lis – they were the joy of her life.
RIP Aunty Nerida. You will be missed but the love that you shared will live on 😘
Nerida was the most caring, kind and astute teacher I had the pleasure of working with. I enjoyed team teaching with Nerida on the piano we taught children songs and jingles. When it was Grandparents Day we jointly performed items to perform on the stage at Shellharbour Public School.
Another collaboration was preparing the kindy children for the school social.
Our kindy excursions were also fun.
My husband and I had the pleasure of a wonderful holiday with Nerida and John which included a cruise from Alaska to New Orleans followed by Las Vegas. The Flynn’s sought out the jazz places in New Orleans of course. They found the best buffet in Vegas where you could eat as much seafood including prawns and oysters. Nerida loved her prawns.
Thanks Nerida for your friendship.
So sad to hear that the world no longer has such a beautiful person as Nerida on its planet. Sincerest sympathy to John, after almost 65 years of marriage too his special wife Nerida .Our Love to you Sue and Jeff Smeaton.
Perhaps the stars in the sky. Are loved ones letting us know they are near. By guiding us through the night.
Thank you Nerida for all our wonderful childhood memories which we will never forget. You will be missed but not forgotten.
Love always
The Carney Family
