  5. Gail, John and Suzanne,

I’m deeply shocked and saddened to hear about Michael’s passing. He was such a big part of my older teenage years and early adulthood — a genuine mate and an all-round good bloke.

Michael was always there when you needed him, especially if something mechanical needed fixing, but just as much for a laugh, a joke, or a game of pool. I remember the happiness I would feel hearing the roar of one of his many cars coming up the hill and thinking, “Sweet, Michael’s home,” as you would always hear him coming!

Those, and many more, are the memories that will stick with me — the great times, the laughs, and the kind, smiling person he was.

My thoughts are with you all during this incredibly difficult time. I know my mum would have met him with open arms and will be up there looking out for him.

    All our love and thoughts,

Paul, Tegan, Amaya, Harrison and Elodie Campbell
