Tributes

  1. “Leigh, we will miss your beautiful smile and the joy you brought to those around you.
    Rest in peace.

  2. Leigh,

We laughed together, and we cried together, but through it all you were always the consummate professional. You had an extraordinary gift for ensuring that every parent and every prospective student understood what made our school so special. You shared that knowledge with passion, warmth, vibrancy, and genuine care.

Your dedication, enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment touched so many lives. I miss you deeply and will always cherish the memories we shared.

I love you and miss you so much. Ginny xox

  3. Some people are light bringers
    They bring warmth, hope, kindness.
Whoever they meet, wherever they go,
    They shine light.
Leigh was one of those people.
Not one person walked through the college doors without standing in some of that light,
It wasn’t just a college tour,
She welcomed every family like she wanted them there,
The way she moved through the world, made us feel seen and wanted.
    She was warmth and kindness,
Our lives are all better because of that light.
Her unwavering hope and positive outlook, even when facing the most hopeless situations, gave strength and continues to give strength to us.
How lucky we were to have been around her light, hope and positivity.
    We will miss you Leigh.

  4. My sincerest condolences to Leigh’s family. I am sorry that now I live in Cairns I didn’t even know Leigh was ill.So very very sad. We went to TAFE together for 3 years and worked together for 5. I feel so lucky to have known that cheeky girl with a razor sharpe wit. Although I had not had contact with Leigh of recent times I was well aware of how happy she was in her marriage to Greg and how proud she was of her daughter Marci. Loved her Mum and Sister Gai whom I met and she also talked fondly of her other sister I remember. I loved you too Leigh… my fellow Scorpian woman. I loved the laughs we had in those years. May you laugh and sing with the Angels you dear girl. Your old mate Gai
