Tributes

  1. I was very saddened to hear of the passing of my old school friend, Kevin Ardler.

We knew each other at Nowra High School, and I will always remember how he stood up for me as a mate when I was a skinny kid who couldn’t always stand up for himself. That was the kind of person Kevin was — loyal, decent, and quietly brave in a way that truly mattered.

Life takes us in all directions. Although we hadn’t seen each other since a memorable visit with Kevin and his family at Wreck Bay many years ago, those early school memories stay with you. That bond never really disappears. Hearing of Kevin’s passing brings back those days and reminds me how much those small acts of kindness meant, even if we didn’t realize it at the time.

My thoughts are especially with Annette and the family.

I will be joining you via the livestream from Western Australia to pay my respects and to celebrate Kevin’s life.

    Rest peacefully, Kevin.

  2. Dear Annette & family. I was very sad to hear of Kevin’s passing. Thinking of you all and hope you find some comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.
    Best wishes
    Annette, JBT office
