Neighbours for years but friends for life goodbye dear friend
My first day at 34 SQN there was a bbq at the duty crew hut, I arrived in the rain and outside in the rain was Ken, Peter Hill and Wally Taylor all 3 we’re hammered and peter put on a piece of meat to cook flipped it over and then put it on a water soaked bun and gave it to Ken…. Who said geeze Pete you a bloody good cook 😳. I thought OMG what have I gotten myself into… well it turned out great, I’ve made a new family and Ken will never be forgotten as a true gentleman and friend.
Pa… it was easy to call you this as friendship with you the same. Open, affable, welcoming.. your qualities clearly shine bright as staples in your entire family. Thank you for for being a contribution to my life. Aunty Vern
