Where to start? June and Bill came into our lives way back in 2004 when we moved from the UK to Australia and our boys Patrick and Michael attended the same school as Hayley in Sydney. Wendy and I met at the drop off on day one and our friendship led to so many years of love and laughter with the whole family.
-Fun trips from Sydney to June and Bill’s house at Greenwell Point where we were always treated like family. Huge dinners, swims in the pool, Easter Bunnies and much more!
-Visits from Bill and June to the boys classes at the school on Grandfriends’ Day as they knew that the boys’ grandparents were far away in the UK.
When we moved to Canberra, Wendy, Andrew and Hayley moved back to Greenwell Point and so continued our connection.
– June and Bill were the most special people to us.
As time has passed, our connection has not been as much in person, but in little things such as June ALWAYS remembering our birthdays and we would get a text from her.
Losing Bill was so hard for everyone, especially June, but she soldiered on, as was her way. The comfort we have now is that they are back together again in peace.
You will always be missed and will always have a special place in our family’s hearts ❤️
In Loving Memory of June
Some people leave a lasting impression, no matter how briefly they cross our path. June was one of those people.
Although I only had the privilege of caring for her for a short time, I quickly came to see her gentle spirit, quiet strength, and the warmth she carried with her. She had a way of making those around her feel at ease, and it was an honour to spend time with her.
Rest peacefully, June. You will be remembered with kindness, respect, and gratitude. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your journey. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Truly
Dodie
