Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Saturday 17th January 2026. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Molly). Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Susan and Neal, Phillipa and Robert (dec), Robyn and Stephen, and Mark. Cherished Grandpa of his 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Bert will be sadly missed by his loving family and many dear friends.

What a beautiful man. In his actions he was a dedicated kind man who cared for his ill wife for so long. I love how strong and independent he was. A gem of a man. It was great to have known him.
