Tributes

  1. Dear Christine,Tom and family,
Please know that you are in my thoughts at this difficult time.It was always a pleasure doing Ella’s hair and catching up on all the news in each others family.Unfortunately, I can’t attend her funeral but I will be thinking of you all.

  2. Dear Christine, Thomas, Ian and all the family. I’ve known Ella since I was 4 years old. Although I was in my forties before I was able to call her anything but Mrs Anderson. Throughout that time she never changed.

Ella was kind, considerate and loved her family unconditionally. She will be missed, but never ever forgotten.

So sorry we can’t be with you. You’re in our thoughts and we send our love to you all.

  3. Dear Ian, Christine and Tom, Louise David and Lara, Marcus and Mandy and Alice, Rachel and Gillian. We are so sorry for your loss.

We loved spending time with Ella and hearing all her stories of life in Scotland. She was always entertaining and loved a laugh. She didn’t mind correcting our etiquette – Use the teaspoon for the jam Paul – do not put your knife in there! She was also happy to talk over us if we were being a bit boring . (fair enough) All in all, you had to be on your toes for a visit with Ella but it was always great fun! We will miss her on our visits to Wollongong.

Ella was a happy grandmother, always helping out and interested in everything that was going on. As someone who is about to become a grandmother, I can only hope that I can bring some of the energy that she devoted to her grandchildren. Ella was also a very delighted great-grandmother and Lara brought her great joy.

Christine and Ian, I am so sorry for your loss . You were so kind and caring of Ella, particularly in this last year and I know (because she told me) just how much she appreciated you both and, of course, her favourite son-in-law Tom.

RIP Ella. Thanks for being part of our lives.

    Margaret and Paul
