Aged 82 years.
We were blessed to have such a great man to lead our family.
We will miss him, as will his many family members and friends.

I am proud to have called Ern a friend and he was in every possible way RIP Old Mate 🙏🌹🌹❤️
Sending my condolences to the Lyn Brown and families .Ernie spun me around at my debutante ball and many times at Marshall mount . A lovely man gone but not forgotten.💔🙏 another Legend from Marshall mount gone too soon..
My arms go around Lynn and all the family. Ernie was so very kind and caring to my late husband John when they shared their ward in Wollongong hospital last year. It meant so much to myself, Sam and Todd during our very sad time. Dianne xx r rest in peace dear Ernie.
I met Lyn & Ern some 30 years + now when their son Paul escorted my daughter to her debut, since then we have been firm friends. Lyn & Ern have welcomed us into their home many times as we have done for them. I shall miss Ern so very much, not a more generous, kinder, genuine man, would you ever meet. Jesus has taken him to his home & peace is now his.
Thank you for many precious memories, Ern, you will never be forgotten.
Deepest love & condolences to Lyn & all the family. Marjorie, Bill & Allyson. (Melbourne)

My Little Cousin. How excited I was every time you cam e to stay in Sydney and when we visited you too., playing around the old Manse in Albion Park, eating apples fresh from the tree and seeing eels in the water when the road was flooded, and an unforgettable day when you picked red chillies and rubbed them in your eyes! You helped us set up shop at the end of the lane after raiding Daddy’s vegetable garden and , then there was Aunty Lorna’s wonderful cooking!
Your life has been a tribute to your mother’s love. Your capacity to love other people and generous attitude towards them, along with Lynette, has been a wonder for all to see and feel.
Thank you for being in my life. With love to you all, Rosemary
Deep sympathy to Lyn,the children ,grandchildren and Ernest’s many friends.
With love
Farewell my little cousin. I have many happy memories of our childhood, finding eels in the flooded roadway, Ernest rubbing chillies into his eyes, eating apples fresh from the tree at the Manse. I was always very exited whenever you visited in Sydney. You’re life has been a tribute to your mother’s love. You’re love of people and generosity along with Lynette has been an inspiration to us all.
With love,
From Rosemary

ERN WAS ONE OF THE BEST FRIENDS I HAVE EVER HAD. I RUN THE COMPUTER AT ALBION PARK UNITING CHURCH AND WHILE HIS WIFE LYN PLAYED THE KEYBOARD OUT FRONT, ERN WITH SIT UP THE BACK NEXT TO THE COMPUTER I USED TO PUT UP WORDS ON THE SCREEN OUT FRONT AND HE WAS AN ALL ROUND NICE GUY. I WILL MISS HIM. ON THE DAYS HE WAS TOO ILL TO COME TO CHURCH HE WOULD WATCH THE SERVICE ON TV AS I LIVE STREAMED IT TO YOU TUBE AND AT THE END OF THE SERVICE I ALWAYS RECEIVED A TEXT MESSAGE “JOB WELL DONE ROSEMARY, LOVE ERN” HE WAS A GREAT FRIEND AND SUPPORTER OF WHAT I DID AT CHURCH. I WILL MISS HIM.
LYN, MY LOVE GOES OUT TO YOU AND ALL IN THE FAMILY. HE WILL BR GREATLY MISSED. LOVE TO YOU LYN AND THE FAMILY.
I’m sorry for your loss, Lynette and all the family. Ernest had a beautiful, sunny disposition, and he was always very warm and welcoming when we came to see you in Albion Park. I also remember that he had a beautiful singing voice. He will be greatly missed, but warmly remembered by our family.
With love,
Francesca, Eldo, Hazel and Dante xox
Dear little Cousin my friend and playmate. How excited I was whenever you visited in Sydney! And then the excitement of finding eels in the flood waters in front of the manse. You rubbing chillies in your eyes, eating apples fresh from the tree…
Your life has been a tribute to your mother’s love, your unconditional love of people and with Lynette beside you, a welcoming home with great generosity and good food!
I will not forget you. With love, Rosemary.
I fondly remember very early mornings milking the cows with Ernest when I was seven or eight. I remember him driving me around the farm on the back of a motorbike. And I remember the morning that he showed me the feed troughs full of Monster Munch chips – a batch of seconds or stale ones I guess. I couldn’t wait to get back to the house and wake mum up to tell her about it.
He was always a kind and generous man to me, and I will remember him fondly.
Much love and blessings to Lyn and all the family.
Thank you for the opportunity to participate in Ernie’s Celebration of Life online. To the Brown family, I send deepest sympathy from myself and my family, and also from those members and friends of the Guernsey Cattle Society Queensland Branch who have known Ernie over the years and remember him with affection. He was a “big” man in more ways than one, and the cattle breeding community will remember him fondly. “Rest in Peace. Ernie.”
I first had the pleasure of meeting Ern at Methodist Youth Fellowship in 1968 when I was a 14 year old and Ern a married man of 26, such was the intergenerational nature of the Christian family I was welcomed in to. His cheerful nature, booming voice, commitment to physical labour and encouragement for everyone to get in and “give it a go” has remained in my memory and heart all these years later. Ern (and his parents) and Lyn have been an inspiration and example of Christian faith in action to my wife and myself since our childhood and throughout our adult life as they have served the Lord Jesus. Our community has lost another shining example of whole-hearted service to others but he won’t be forgotten as he has instilled this ethic in his children who continue in his footsteps.
We’ll meet again in Glory.
