Dear Liz – I am SO grateful to have been included in your extended family of friends and neighbours – you even gave me my nickname of “CC”!
You saved me from despair when I was lost and I lived in your Amazing Granny flat!
From here, I enjoyed your company with David and your furries, with lots of interesting conversation, wine and your excellent food! Your Crumble will always be the Best!
I was fortunate enough to travel with you and David – with family, Richard and Sue, to Zambia and Malawi in 2017. I actually invited myself! What an Incredible experience – one i will cherish forever! Liz you do the best impersonation of the sound of a hippo – and believe me, it isn’t an easy noise to make!
Liz, I will miss your Lovely voice, your fashion and jewellery, your Passion for crime books and your Amazing knowledge of language and history, and really just about everything, that you share with David!
Thank you for being SO generous with your love for all of us – we will make sure that we return that love and care by looking out for David and your family –
Thank you Liz –
I love you and miss you already –
All my love,
CC Xxxx
I have fond memories of your mum xxx
At moments like this, one’s memories inevitably hark back to childhood and our shared experiences. I’m sure we probably quarrelled and competed but we were always good friends. As we got older and more sensible, it was always nice to know that you were there, homing me when necessary and guiding me when guidance was needed. Will miss you hugely.
Love John
Elizabeth was a dear friend and lovely neighbour I’ve known her all my life and I will miss her terribly I have great memories of her that will stay with me forever
I am so devastated at Liz’s passing. We were friends in Canberra and then in Albury. She helped me get through the unknown territory of raising small children. I loved her as if we were sisters. We spent many hours with lunch and wine at a local pub, usually followed by shared dinner at one of our homes – and more wine. The only reason that our contact was not continued was distance, since we moved back home to the U.S. I will miss her.
What a very sad loss, such a beautiful person.Mrs winterbottom was a wonderful neighbour. So caring and kind. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.
Elizabeth – such a vibrant and charming host and friend to many of us in our Albury Wodonga days. We have very fond memories of time spent around the dinner table and on days in the outdoors enriched by Liz and Davids enthusiasm for the bush, and birds and the Upper Murray, and these memories have not dimmed with the passing years. Thank you Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was wonderful work colleague anda close friend who I will miss sadly.
Words cannot begin to describe the incredible sense of loss that I feel. You were the first person that I ever saw. The person that kept me cleaned, clothed and fed, until I was able to do so for myself and often even after that.
As everyone else has said, your love and generosity were boundless. I miss you laugh, your smile, your wit, your wisdom, and your understanding. You were always there to provide support and guidance and a source of strength.
I am hugely proud that you were my mother and I shall always have loving memories.
Rest in Peace Mama.
My darling friend Elizabeth, I’ve been so blessed to have had you in my life for all the years that I did as my beautiful friend.
All the wonderful memories of moments that you shared with me are cherished . When you said “ I love you my darling “ it was honest & sincere same as your embrace❤️ The void that’s been left since you departed us is unimaginable .
Rest in peace my dear Elizabeth xx
