Great workmate. We’ll miss him.
Many fond memories from me, his first wife. We met in April 1978 and shared a lasting love 💕 together
I’ll never forget you Doug xxx
I’ve known Doug since highschool and was a workmate through his apprenticeship and he even taught me guitar. Lots of fond memories in the early days. RIP mate 😞

Doug, a gentleman, a friend and work colleague. Many hours after midnight spent on the phone with Doug trying tobget those dam pumps bid in. A nice man and mentor very opinionated on politics one eyed some would say.
Lol old friend. Lazza
Doug was a great stepdad. Thank you Doug, for being brave enough to teach me to drive, for telling me that you were proud of me when you and Mum dropped me off at the coach station for when I went to India on my first big adventure, for helping put up 100m of fairy lights up on the ceiling and composing a special song for my wedding, and for being a part of our family. We will miss you.
A heart of gold , great workmate , vale Doug Payne
It was a privilege to have known Doug when he was involved in Little Athletics in Cooma coaching & encouraging each athlete to their ability. Doug was well respected by all the athletes & families.
Work mate for 30 yrs, friend for 40 yrs. Lots of fun to be with but very serious behind the fun. Always gave 110% with every endeavour he was involved in.

So sad to hear of your passing Doug. You were a wonderful compassionate man and a great musician. I have very fond memories of you and the friendship we once shared.
I’m so sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. We met on YT many years ago and he visited our home when he came to visit the USA. I thought he was a very decent and loving human being. RIP mate and I’m terribly saddened that I wasn’t able to visit you in your homeland. I loved sharing all the music and memories with you in conversation on and off YT. You’ll be forever missed!
