Passed away peacefully on Friday 25th April 2025. Beloved husband of Valerie. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Sean and Teresa, Louise and Darin, Debbie and Marc (dec), Jeremy and Meredith. Cherished Pop of his 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. David will be sadly missed by his loving family and many dear friends here and in England.

Jean Bye

You were a very dear friend to me since the first time I met you in April 1969 when Val brought me home with her from work.
You and Val were my saviours as I had nowhere to stay and you said yes you have you will stay with us and that was the start of a fabulous 56yr friendship for us.
I remember many times when I was trying to work doing all sorts to try to earn as much as I could. I would fly into the house and you would grab hold of me as and say “have you eaten “ if I hadn’t you would say “right sit down you are not going out again until you have eaten something” this is just a small indication of the way you and Val looked after me you were the best friends I could have had. I could go on to right a book We may have lived on opposite sides of the world but you both and your children were always in my heart and we saw as much of each other as we could. The last time being in November 2023.
Good night my dear friend you will always live in my heart.
