  1. Even though amali you don’t know me I’m mrs Malinee Perera and I was a biology teacher at Devi and mrs abeysinghe was the head of our science section.
I’m so sorry to hear of her demise.
As it was my first appointment as a teacher she was my mentor and I hero worshiped her as she taught me how to become a good teacher. She was strict but had the humorous side as well.
We used to enjoy her cooking as well. I still use her bread roll recipe for my malu paan.
Amali if you remember I’m the wife of Dr nihal Perera the paediatric surgeon who operated on one of yours or Kamani’s fingers.
