  4. Considered “blow in’s” yet Margaret showered us with neighbourly concerns and engagements. She welcomed us into the life style of Bermagui.
We have been so fortunate to have experienced Margaret’s wisdom, compassion and culminary skills. She was a very unique and discerning person..
Our kindest regards to all her family.

  5. It is so hard to find the right words to express what a truly special person Auntie Margaret is.My beloved godmother who has been an ever present force throughout my life, even when she and Uncle Godfrey left Backwell to start a new life Down Under.Auntie Margaret always remembered my birthday and each of my daughter’s, sending wonderfully detailed letters each time, full of all of the things she and her family had been up to as well as taking the time to find out what we were all doing. The love and warmth of her letters always brought a smile and more recently we have been able to keep in touch via FaceTime at Christmases and other special occasions.I loved hearing about her choral exploits and her beautiful garden and will never forget our visit to Bermagui when we encountered kangaroos for the first time!We will all miss that beautiful smile and wonderful sense of humour but are so glad we have so many happy memories to treasure.

Sending all our love and sympathy to Carol,Phil,Debs,Dave and all the rest of our family in Australia. We will be thinking of you all as you celebrate the incredible life of Auntie Margaret xxx

  6. Lots of wonderful memories of Mum(my) bum.
She was so full of life and an inspiring part of my life
Thinking of you all and sending love at this time.

  7. Such a beautiful service! Margaret was always a great friend and supporter to my parents. She shared my Mum(Joan Russell)’s love of entertaining. She never failed to call me to get updates on my parents, and later on my mother’s health and wellbeing, and always remembered my story, my children and grandchildren and even my work. Quite extraordinary and testament to her love for everyone she came into contact with. We will miss her dearly, but her legacy clearly lives on in her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
