Tributes

  1. Rest in Peace 🙏 Jim from the Dummett Family.

  2. Elspeth and families sincere condolences from our families to yours and deepest sympathy from Gena and Owen Whitby and families

  3. So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing he was my boss at Bega Valley Shire for a number of years and was a very good man in and out of work. My condolences to the family.

  4. I am devastated to hear of Jim’s recent death. My memories of Jim are as a loving family man, keen farmer, intelligent engineer and manager, a kind and giving man with a very cheeky wit. I worked with Jim for 3 years at Bega Valley Shire and he was my favourite manager ever. My deepest sympathy to Elspeth and the girls. He will be forever remembered fondly.

  5. While Jim served as the Manager of Water and Sewerage Services at Bega Valley Shire Council he also served on the NSW Water Directorate, sharing his expertise and insight as a gifted water engineer with many of the 90 other council local water utilities around regional NSW. Jim served on Water Directorate’s Executive Committee for 6 years in a voluntary role from 2013 to 2019, and continued working in the regional water sector after that with short stints at Icon Water, Yass Valley Council and most recently as a regional engineer at the NSW Department of Climate Change Energy Environment and Water’s Local Water Utilities branch. Jim was highly regarded in regional NSW, one of life’s gentlemen, taken too soon. He will be missed by a great many in our industry. Our thoughts are with all of his family.

  6. Our condolences, Elspeth and to each of your girls. We are very sorry that we are unable to pay our respects personally to Jim, our good friend, on Saturday, as we are in WA.

  7. Dear Elspeth and family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I have many memories of Jim with our trips to Mens Conventions. Sorry we can’t be with you on Saturday as we are away in Qld.

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.”‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬

  9. Dear Elspeth,
I only heard of your great loss yesterday, and my heart breaks for you. I wish I had had more opportunity to get to know Jim better. But that is not the way our lives have played out. May you and your beautiful girls know the loving arms of our heavenly Father around you, even as you desperately miss having Jim’s arms around. May you be enfoldedand carried by the love of God’s family. And may the sure hope we share of being reunited with Jim and all those who have gone ahead of us to the wedding supper of the Lamb sustain you in your darkest moments.
    Love and prayers,
    Ruth.

  10. James (Jim), you will be greatly missed by Elspeth, the girls, your family and friends. Our condolences go out to all of you.
Jim was well respected and a great manager with a wealth of knowledge, always offering support and good to have a laugh. We were privilege to have known you over the years we were at Bega, sorry we can’t be over there in person to farwell you , RIP.
