It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our wonderful man. Loving husband to Valerie “Jean”, ever loving father and father-in-law to Lynda & Brett Thurbon, Donna & Marco Gottardi. “Popsy” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother to his five younger siblings.

Dear gentle Uncle Warren. He will live in in the precious memories of all the Kaan kids from next door in Hilltop Ave.
Vale Warren McCarthy!
Uncle Warren was a kind and gentle man -in the true sense of the word. He was our neighbour when we were new in this country and was always there to lend an ear. And correct our frequent embarrassing language-related errors.
Hessel, Daniel and Walter all worked on the milk run for him at one time or another. Daniel and Walter for many years. Warren became a real mentor for the boys, introducing us to many new ideas and ways of looking at life. We will always remember those days fondly because of his warm and caring way.
Of course Warren also taught both Daniel and Walter to drive. In their early teens! On the road! In a fully loaded truck!
He was always ready to listen and be understanding with us, and frequently when a customer was having trouble paying their bill.
Ellen reminisces that the McCarthy household was a safe and stable place to be, especially when things were sometimes a little weird at home.
Uncle Warren was real gentleman. May he rest in peace and all our warmest wishes to Aunty Jean, Donna and Lynda – such a sad loss.
