Passed away peacefully on Thursday 31st August 2023. Beloved Partner of Colleen. Loved husband of the late Elaine. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Royce and Kerry, Vicki and John Weaver. Loving Pop to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Val will be sadly missed by his loving family and dear friends.

So sad to hear about Val’s passing. As Graeme has noted he was truly a great man and mentor. Val was my first coach (under 10s) when I started playing footy with the mighty Western Suburbs Red Devils. I too am extremely grateful to Val (and Graeme’s dad Barry) who guided us in those early formative years. My condolences to all of Val’s family.
