Tributes

  1. Alan was my first… he was the first Aussie I had the honor to meet. He was the first Aussie to invite me to Australia. He was the first to think I should be a pastor there… and my first church in Aus, was the same one he used to serve as pastor too. What a pleasure to know him, follow after him and to just enjoy his character. He and Lil have had a special place in our hearts and lives since we first met wayyyy back in the day.

Alan, save a seat for me, my friend… I hope we get to chat again in glory!

  2. I am 75 years old, and still remember Mr Neate in a scripture class at Junee Public School. He made the message of the gospel so clear to me and that day I gave my six year old heart to the Lord. That was a momentous day and that decision has proved to be a lasting one.
I thank God for this faithful servant!

  3. Alan was a dear cousin of mine, a lovely man with a great character and I admired him so. My sincere sympathy to his family. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend his Thanksgiving Service.

  4. A great man and a wonderful friend. He was our pastor at Liverpool Baptist Church and married us there 55 years ago. He used to say “I must have done a good job” with a cheeky twinkle in his eye. Such a beautiful man of God. Well done good and faithful servant.
    Lyn and Kingsley Morris.

  5. It has been my great pleasure to have known Alan for many years as a friend and colleague in ministry of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Alan preached, taught and lived all that he believed and, being a man of great faith he was anxious to share that faith with many people. He had a pastoral heart and a great love for congregations in the Churches he and Lillian served. Of Alan’s life I can say, “Lifes race well run, Christ’s crown well won.” I thank God for every remembrance of Alan, His faithful servant.
