Passed away peacefully on Sunday, 2nd April 2023. Dearly loved mother of Bonnie, Clinton, and Lindsay. Cherished Nan of Aaron, Kayla, Jessica, Vision, Joshie, Adaiah, Zuri and Great Beach Nanny of Phoenix, Peyton, and Willow. Loved sister to Enid, Ruth, Lorraine, and Allan. Mercia will be sadly missed by her loving family and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mercia’s funeral service to be held at Kiama Anglican Church, 2 Terralong Street, Kiama on Tuesday, 18th April 2023 at 11am.

It saddens me to bid farewell to my childhood and highschool friend. Our friendship was like stars, we might not have seen eachother regularly but our friendship bond was always there. Our trio is broken but the memories will linger on. Hamba gashle till we meet again dearest friend.

I’m a friend of Clinton and was very saddened when I heard the news . I knew her as a kind and gracious woman . She loved and had time for her family and was always up for a chat with friends. May she rest in peace and live on forever in our hearts and minds .
I was blessed to meet Mercia, at our workplace,: Fairfield city library. I also had the pleasure of working with Clinton, and meeting the family.
It is very hard to find the words to adequately communicate the loving beauty of our dear Mercia.
What care ,love, beauty and joy she brought into this world ,and the many lives blessed to have known her.
I shall cherish memoriesof her many gifts. Her gorgeousand sense of humour. Her unique wit. Her sense of fun. Her fearless expression of things wrong, or right. Her empathy for others
I admired her courage, and devotion to family. I am so glad she found her happy and beautiful home in Kiama.
It is such a great loss, such a giving and bright soul, and she will rightly be missed deeply.
However, I am certain her strong, loving spirit, will be present on this earthy plane
My you be at peace dear friend, relieved of all worries and burdens.
