Passed away on Friday 16th January 2026. Beloved husband of Clara Tenhave. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Daphne and Berry (Dec), Peter and Sue, Richard and Renee, Bruce and Christine. Much loved Opa of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved brother. Max will be sadly missed by his loving family and many dear friends here and in The Netherlands.
Aged 97 Years
At Peace with His Lord and Saviour.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Max’s funeral service to be held at Christian Reformed Church, Carter’s Lane Fairy Meadow on Thursday 22nd January 2026 at 11:00 am.

Max was a valued longterm member of Wollongong U3A. Both he and Clara were actively involved in our group, and gave many talks on various topics, and participated in many many organised trips.
We remember his positive outlook and his playful cheeky sense of humour.

Brian and Jennifer-Robyn Mattock send their love with sincere condolences to Clara and all the family. Max and Clara were both very active members of The Wollongong chapter of U3A where JR is the Monday program coordinator and a committee member. Max was a wonderful mentor he and Brian spent many days at the Glavine Institute in Kings Cross.
