Tributes

  1. Dear Ursula
Our condolences to you and your family.

    Love
    Robert, Maria and Cecilia

  2. I worked with Maurie at BHP in a couple of projects at the end of the 80s. He always had that twinkle in his eye. He was a disciplined task-master but a genuinely good human being.

    My condolences.

    Walter Adamson
    Melbourne

  3. So sad to hear of Maurie’s passing. He was my first Chief Electrical Engineer at AI&S Port Kembla when I was fresh out of University. We collaborated through the ’70’s and ’80’s and he offered me a posting to the then new BHP Aerospace & Electronics Division for which I am forever grateful as it set me on a new and successful (I think) career direction.
I still remember his vice-like grip whenever we shook hands!
He was an able and very fair and approachable leader and a true gentleman.
It’s a shame that I never saw him again after our ways parted in the early ’90s. We should all take the time to occasionally renew our acquaintances while we have time, because time and lives slip by so quickly.
My deepest condolences to Ursula and Maurie’s family. He was a good man and may he rest in peace.
    Tony Strasser
    Sydney

  4. Maurice was a true gentleman and an inspiration to those he worked with.

Our condolences to Ursula, Grant, Ruth and his extended family.

  5. My wife, Moyia, and I knew Maurice through Wollongong Probus Club for the last 20 years. Maurice is remembered for his enthusiasm and indomitable spirit and courage in attacking new and difficult challenges including farming, ocean swimming from the Conti to North beach and back and the strenuous Cradle mountain to lake St Clare when not in the best of health
A real gentleman and reliable friend. He will be sorely missed
Heartfelt condolences to Ursula and all the family

  6. To Auntie Ursula, Cathy, Grant and family.
Please accept our deepest sympathies in this time of loss.
I will always remember his advice and help early on in my drafting career (Enlisting Grant to photocopy two big A4 folders).
I will always remember the timber of his voice and how tall he seemed to me when I was a young boy.
I will always remember his love of his mum and my mum.
Take comfort in your families in this difficult time but know that Uncle Maurice’s love for you all will always be with you in your hearts.
Love from Steven, Karen, Jordan and Hudson.

  7. To Ursula and family,
Our deepest condolences to you and family, we remember. the good memories that we have shared.
    Our thoughts are with you.
    Love from Stani and Bill
