Beloved son of Sylvia and Ray (deceased), brother of Joan and Pauline, brother in law of Martin, uncle of Ainsley, Tasman, Isabella, Victoria (deceased), Matthew, Bethany, Sebastian.

Died peacefully, surrounded by his family, following a 6 year struggle with cancer.

Our profound thanks to Professor Phil Clingan and his colleagues for their outstanding care of Douglas over the past 6 years. Our profound thanks to the nursing staff at the MAU, Wollongong Hospital, for their outstanding care of Douglas during his final hours.

And my spirit is crying for leaving

 Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Douglas to be held in the chapel, Parsons Funeral Home, 34 Belmore Street Wollongong on Monday July 23, 2018 at 2pm.

 In lieu of flowers donations to the Rare Cancer’s Australia Patient Treatment Fund would be appreciated.
