Passed away peacefully on Thursday 12th February 2026. Beloved wife of John. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Kerrie, Kathleen (dec), Chris and Margot, Michelle and Mitch, Paul and Jose, Colleen and Damien. Cherished Grandma of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loved sister of Barry (dec), Bob (dec), and Michael. Joy will be sadly missed by her loving family and many dear friends.

I own the quilt business Berry Quilt & Co. I was overseas and heard of Joy’s passing on my return. It is such sad news. Joy was a favourite of ours. I just put the following into our shop newsletter and thought the family may like to know. 🙂 Sharon
We recently heard of the passing, in February of our lovely long time friend and client Joy Fardy. Joy, by name and by nature, was always a ray of sunshine. She began every conversation with: How are YOU? She really wanted to know. It was not just a habit to ask.
Joy made many of her own clothes and was an exquisite seamstress. She made lovely detailed quilts and had come to many classes at both Berry Quilt & Co and Berry Patchwork. Travel well Joy, you will be much missed by us all! We send our condolences to Joy’s family.
