Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Thursday 1st October 2026. Beloved husband of Ankica. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Dianna and Bora, Belinda and Dejan. Cherished Poppy of Joshua and Christian. Ilija will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends here and in Croatia.

Rosary will be recited at St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral, Harbour Street Wollongong on Saturday 10th October 2026 at 1.30pm to be followed by a Requiem Mass for the repose of Ilija’s soul commencing at 2pm. Following the Mass his funeral will proceed to Lakeside Memorial Park, 230 Kanahooka Road, Kanahooka.
In lieu of flowers donations to Dementia Australia would be greatly appreciated.
