Passed away peacefully on Saturday April 24, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth. Adored father and father-in-law of Trudi and Peter, Elsa and Rex. Cherished Opa of Stephanie, Alain and Kelsey, Jillianne and Sam, Mariah, and his great grandchildren. Henk will be sadly missed by his loving family and many dear friends here and in the Netherlands.

So sorry to hear of Henk’s passing. He was a gentleman, a lovely man and such a good friend to my father Victor Ahearn. With fond memories and condolences to his family.
Henk was an amazing model-builder and conversationalist. Although I only met him in his later years, he was always interested in everything. The conversation club that he ran with my dad and others, daily at 10am, back in his early 80s, was always welcoming of visitors, such as when I visited from London. He gave great friendship and kindness to my father who held Henk in high esteem: Henk was a “Good Man”.
