Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Sunday, 25th of July 2021. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Anthony, Jude, Rita and Chris. Cherished Nanna of Nathan, Scott Chris, Brooke, Britney, Lachlan, Richard, Zoe and Buz Nanna of Imogen, Jasper, Nirvana. Beloved sister, sister-in-law and Aunt. Betty will be sadly missed by her loving family and many dear friends.

I remember Betty, Mrs. Gauci, so well from the old days at Surry Hills and your home in High Holborn Street. Memories include Joe’s rabbit (stew), a good old Maltese tradition; and the new, colour television. Butch the Chihuahua and Dixie. In more recent years I was pleased to visit her at home in Horsley. Betty and Joseph – together again. RIP.
I recall Betty and Joe at Surry Hills. Betty will be remembered as a great aunt. We shared good times and Betty will be sadly missed. Our condolences to Jude, Rita, Tony and family.

Many happy memories of visits to see Aunty Betty and Uncle Joe at their home in High Holborn Street, Surry Hills. Good times when we went to the Maltese Club to put a couple of bob in the pokies together and had a few laughs. Aunty Betty would scold Joe when he invited Peter to go the “Chemist” for a couple of drinks.
