Tributes

  1. Don Hazell, and his lovely wife Lyn, were life long friends of Eric and Joyce, and our beloved Aunt Maimie. He brought much joy into their lives and was a gracious host to Doreen and me during our frequent visits to Australia. Our deepest condolences go out to Lyn and all the family. Rest in Peace Don.

  2. Dear Lyn. We mourn your loss. We share your grief. Dear Don. We celebrate your wonderful life. We shall miss you.

  3. Hello Lyn – so sorry to read this. Hugs and best wishes to you and family. Regards Robyn Foster

  4. Lyn, sorry to hear about Don. I’m afraid I’ve got news that I won’t be able to get to the funeral Peter Cragg.

  5. Dear Lyn,
    Please accept our loving sympathy.
Don was such a gracious host when we met at your home. His warmth was obvious from the first moment of meeting him.
May you and your family be surrounded by love and upheld by the Lord.
    Our love,
    Jan and Rob Thomas

  6. Several years ago we met Lyn and Don at Cantik, a coffee cafe, at Kiama Downs. Ever since then we have enjoyed a conversation and a cuppa with these dear friends, and, of course, the lovely Lesley, every Sunday morning that we could all get together…and that was almost every week! So why did my wife, Kay, and I choose to participate in this weekly ritual? Because we enjoyed the company and ever solidifying friendship which grew stronger every seven days. We will miss Don. We looked forward each Sunday to his happy sometimes cheeky smile and twinkling eyes.with which he greeted everyone, from babies to oldies, as they entered the cafe. Don possessed as they day, “ the gift of the gab” and I know everyone who knew him will miss Don’s beautiful banter that revealed his unique experiences all over the world. this was deeply woven into his personality so that he had an endless supply of entertaining tales.
Kay and I are grateful for having known him. Our ritual Sunday conversations over coffee will continue with Lynn, Lesle, Kay and I.
Don brought so much joy to so many people. He will be greatly missed.
But the legend of Don Hazel lives on.

  7. Farewell Uncle Don.
