A Life Well-Lived and Widely Travelled – Farewell to Denis Cochrane

Denis James “George” “Cocho” Cochrane, of Nowra (formerly of Bomaderry), passed away peacefully on Thursday, 10th April 2025.

Former husband of Georgina, loving father of Troy and Dale, and respected father-in-law of Caitlin and Melissa.

Cherished brother-in-law of Sia, and also of the late Peter Henderson. Denis was a proud and much-loved Grandad to Mackenzie, Annelise, Nathaniel, and Zoe, who will remember him fondly for his stories, kind heart, and presence in their lives.

He was the dearly loved brother of the late Colleen Lymbery and uncle to Janelle. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a trail of amused travel companions from all corners of the globe. Denis will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched through his work, sporting endeavours, travels and conversations.

Denis will be cremated and laid to rest alongside his father William George, his mother Rita, and his sister Colleen.

A service to honour and celebrate Denis’s life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, 22 April 2025, at Nowra Presbyterian Church, 5 Kinghorne Street, Nowra NSW. Following the service, attendees are kindly invited to gather for light refreshments and to share memories at Worrigee Sports, 131 Greenwell Point Road, Worrigee NSW. Please note that the family requests no attendance at the crematorium.
