Tributes

  1. Dear Alison and family

Ps. John and Betty join me in sending their sympathies.

  3. I will miss you so much grandpa. I already miss you. You did so many things for me. Love christine x im sure you will be missed.

  4. Im so sorry everyone. Love you

  5. Colin brought warmth and humour into our family. His genuine care and concern for us all was a hallmark of who he was.
Colin was a very much loved brother-in-law. Though we joked about his position as patriarch of the family after our father passed away, we were also quite serious. He was our rock.
    He will be sorely missed,
    Sending love to you all,
    Jan and Phil

  6. We met Colin about 30 years ago at Wollongong Baptist Church and got to know him better in our Bible Study. We remember him as an elder and how much we appreciated his wisdom in helping to lead the congregation. We also remember the fellowship we had with Colin and Alison in our homes over the years. And even though Colin has gone to be with the Lord now, the many good times we spent together will remain in hearts and minds.
    Connie and Peter

  7. We remember Colin as a man who loved God and God’s Word. We recall many conversations with Colin who had a clear and uncompromising understanding of Bible truths and Biblical history. He not only articulated the truth of the gospel but he lived a life that emulated Jesus his Lord and Saviour. Whilst Colin’s final years were marred by illness his strong and abiding trust never wavered and he now rejoices in the presence of Jesus, his Lord and Saviour.
Colin’s parting, is ONLY until Christ’s return when we shall be together with the Lord for all eternity.
Alison, our prayer for you is that Jesus continues to be your comforter, sustainer and strength in the days ahead. Loving regards Ken & Joy Hodson

  8. We were very honoured to have Colin as the minister who married us at our wedding in Burwood Gospel Chapel in April 1968! He and Alison also spent time with us in valuable marriage preparation!
They were always happy to see us at family occasions and very encouraging.
Much love and prayers for you Alison,
    Yvonne & Howard xx

  9. Loved visiting you 2024 . I can’t believe it was so long ago. Ralph and Colin chatted and discussed books they had read. We had a lovely lunch and enjoyed seeing you both. He was a lovely gentle hospitable man.

  10. A lovely service, Alison, for a man whose love for the Lord shone from his smiling face. He will be missed by many.

  11. A Lovely tribute to Mr Chambo, his story beautifully told and remembered by Phil, Steve and Dave. I often ran into Mr Chamerlain many times throughout the years, most prominently around Keiraville when we lived there. We always gave each other updates on our family lives, and his face always lit up when speaking of his boys. I always loved being welcomed at the Chamberlain’s house in Dapto, generally with the cricket or footy on the Telly with the entire family engaged in the game….You’ll be missed Mr Chambo, thanks for making my life better for being part of it….Sending my love to you all, Darren Farrell

  12. Yes there will be a lot of memories. Sending my love to everyone.
