Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Thursday, 1st of September 2022. Husband of the late Joyce Clough, and the late Margaret Clough. Dearly loved father of James, William, Peter, Andrew, and Belinda. Cherished Grandad of Tom, Russell, Mac, Bonnie, Alison, Nathan, Melanie, Kristal, Sam, Tim, Natasha, and Joshua. Desmond will be sadly missed by his loving family and many dear friends.

Des, you were always a good friend. I give thanks to you for being a wonderful father and father in law to Peter and my beautiful daughter Wendy.
During your visits to Ashington in the late 80s we would play snooker and chat over a few beers.
I was interested in emigrating to Australia. You offered myself, wife and young daughter a place to live while we got sorted.
December 1990 we were in Thirroul.
I’ve never looked back.
