He was totally committed to his priesthood, and served the people of God in the parishes in which he ministered with zeal, dedication and availability. May the Lord reward him abundantly for his faithful priestly service. ( Fr P.Faherty Nowra)

  5. I would like to acknowledge and pay tribute to Father Peter on behalf of all the catechists of Holy Family parish, past and present, for the contribution Father Peter, himself, made as a ‘catechist’ in the schools, and his many efforts for the young people of the parish.
For many years , despite having a busy parish and significant involvement with the Holy Family School, Father Peter would teach several lessons every week in our local state schools, both primary and high school. The name “ Father Peter” was widely known among the students and the administrators of the schools.

  82. Dear Caruana family,

The world has lost an incredible life. You have our sincere condolences, our deepest sympathies, and our love.

Our family had known Fr Father for
31 years as our parish priest, a great friend and my confidant. He has always been a kind, soft spoken and giving even with our contacts and dealings with him as a choir member for many years. I often visit him at the presbytery for a talk and always give advice and blessed me before I leave. It is with my heavy heart and deep sadness that I/We won’t be able to see him again. We will miss you dearly Fr. Peter. Thank you for everything. Rest in eternal peace.

  83. Memories of Fathers time saying Mass at Windang ,his joy of welcoming our young children, & his unannounced visits to our home always just in time to share our evening meal these memories will never fade. Then in later years seeing his involvement with the children including my granddaughters at Holy Family. His memory will live on in many hearts.

  84. God bless you Fr Peter. Remember your holy family ingleburn community. Intercede for us all.you were truly a servant of Jesus on earth. All the angels and saints will be welcoming you to paradise. We will always remember you. Peace and love from Robert and Anna. ❤

  85. Our prayers and sincere condolences to Father Peter’s family. Such a beautiful and fitting farewell for Fr Peter this morning, it was a privilege to be able to witness this Memorial Mass. We have very fond memories of Fr Peter as our Parish priest in Ingleburn, and as mentioned by his brother Dennis this morning in his words of remembrance, Fr Peter loved socialising with his parishioners, which we enjoyed on several occasions when we invited him for a meal at our house or with other friends. One particular time we remember was at a friend’s house, where we decided to have some fun and play games which Fr Peter willingly joined in. On this particular evening we played charades and Fr Peter acted out a Bugs Bunny character called Elmer Fudd. We laughed so much. He must have watched this show either in his younger days with his brothers and sisters or nieces and nephews. We also had lots of spiritual guidance from him over the years, including his blessing on us when we renewed our wedding vows on our 25th wedding anniversary, when he also helped us organize a Papal Blessing for this occasion. He will always be in our hearts. Rest in Peace Fr Peter, you have earned it.

  86. My family is grieving the loss of a significant person in our lives. Fr. Peter, who my granddaughter Brix calls Jesus, was not just our Parish priest but a great Friend and Adviser of ours. From 2000-2004, he came to our home to pray with us and give Holy Communion to my sick husband, every Monday afternoon without fail. Fr. Peter celebrated our 25th wedding mass and sadly Ben’s burial mass. Fr. Peter was always present in every special occasion that my family had like christening, weddings, death anniversary, and family dinner. How can we ever forget him? NEVER in a million years. His name will be indelibly written in our hearts. We pray that God reserves a special seat for him in heaven and there Fr. Peter can rest in eternal peace. No sadness, no tears, no questioning, « What have I done to deserve this? » We love you and we thank you for all you have done for us. Goodbye for now, till we meet again. To his family, we are truly sorry for your loss, we feel your pain and your sadness. God bless you all!

  87. Dear Caruana Family

Sending our deepest condolences, may your hearts be filled with joy and love knowing how many lives Fr Peter touched.

  88. My fondest and thankful memory of Fr Peter……your family were family friends from way back.

He was only a Priest of 4 months, Fr Peter took my family into see our loving father for what would be the last time. I will always remember the kindness you bestowed on us children to have the last moment with our father. Thank you Peter.

  89. Deepest condolences to Father Peter’s family. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a wonderful, kind, caring person. Fr Peter dedicated his life to serving God and the community and will be forever missed by many parishioners and students where he officiated over important ceremonies in their spiritual life. His love for the Ingleburn Holy Family Church and community was immense and he will be sorely missed.
