Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 4^th of January 2022. Beloved wife of the late George. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Jo and Darrin, Andrew and Jes. Loving Grandma of Seth, Josh, Kobi, and Brock. Marcella will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends here and in the US.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marcella’s funeral service to be held at Parsons Funeral Home, 34 Belmore Street, Wollongong on Wednesday, 12^th of January 2022 at 12pm. Following her service the funeral will proceed to Wollongong Lawn Cemetery, Wyllie Road, Kembla Grange.

To the family of dear Marcella: I am heartbroken to learn of her passing. When she attended Lutheran Bible Institute in Seattle, Washington, she joined our church, Hope Lutheran, and my father, The Rev. Leslie Otterby, ordained her into missionary service. I remember that day so well. We received letters from her about the joy she had serving God in Nepal. Somehow we lost contact with her, but I remember her loving smile!! My father passed away in 1996, and my mother in 2020. I have pictures I would love to send either Andrew or Joanne, whom I believe was named after Marcella’s dear friend in Seattle–Joanne Jordan, and would appreciate someone emailing me an address. Thank you so much for the beautiful service I was able to watch. My siblings and I send our most sincere BELATED condolences to Marcella’s family. ~Debra Otterby, Ed.D.
