BYRNE, John James (Dr John)

18 October 1941 – 18 April 2021
of Balgownie (previously of Bondi and Braidwood NSW)

John bravely fought a long battle without ever complaining. He passed away at home surrounded by his family, who will all miss him terribly. Loving husband of 54 years to Sharyn. Good mate and loving father to Matthew, Simon and Lisa, Patrick and Louise, Eamonn and Sarah. Proud and much loved grandfather of Charlotte, Joseph, Charles, Edward and Grace. Cherished brother and brother-in-law to Michael and Trish Byrne, Maureen and Ross Cleary, Stephen and Kerry Goodwin and his many nieces and nephews. John will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by his family and many wonderful friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend John’s funeral service to be held at St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral, Harbour Street Wollongong on Friday, 23 April 2021 at 10am.
