We first met as young teenagers at Minnamurra. Thanks to my Nana Dulcie and your dad Tony’s friendship, we became family. You were always like a brother to me. Thanks for all the wonderful times we had together, growing up at Minnamurra. Even though you were that typical annoying brother at times, I always knew you had my back. I’ll treasure all the memories, of our fun adventures together!!! 🥰 RIP my gorgeous friend. I will love you forever.🥰Xxxx

  15. A lovely and loving man gone too young. Condolences and aroha to Janine and their children, the extended family, and the many friends who love Brett. May he rest in peace. From Peter & Tracey (Steve and Tania ‘s family in Qld).

  16. Many people do not know that Brett was my half brother and Uncle to my four children,
Michelle, Paul, Kerri and Tim. He was born when I was 31 and already had three children so he seemed more like a sibling to my children than an uncle. He was much loved and he and our Dad spent Christmases at our home in Kiama Downs after sadly his own Mum passed away when he was only 11 years old.. He grew up enjoying life in Minnamurra and spent many happy hours swimming and boating on the Minnamurra River. He enjoyed spending time with his older half brother Ralph, fishing and canoeing.
In recent years,, Kerri and Wayne often swam with him in the river.
He was a lovable larrikin and a caring family member and will be sadly missed. Jill Bartlett (Née Rorie)

  17. Dear Janine and family,
    My thoughts are with you.
I first met Brett when his family moved next door to my Nan in Minnamurra. He was always happy to see you, even when we played pranks on him! (He got me back lol!) Outgoing and a keen sportsman, he even suggested I could be his golf caddy, no way mate! Brett also became a keen “gardener”. His Dad couldn’t understand what this new invasive plant (weed) was taking over his veggie patch?!
Brett lost his mum at a very young age and we rallied around him, he is family. I treasure those memories with him. Minnamurra, summertime and the family get togethers were pure happiness.
Bye Brett, a wonderfully kind gentleman. Love and will miss you deeply ❤️ xxx

  18. A great bloke. Loved by all. He will be missed. RIP

  19. Dear Janine and family,
My love and thoughts are with you at this sad time.
Brett will be missed by so many especially me. His kindness was beyond belief and his smile could light a room!
    Love
    Elizabeth
