Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 28th March 2023. Beloved wife of the late Jimmy. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Peter, Gary and Jan. Cherished Nanna Monya of her 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Betty will be sadly missed by her loving family and many dear friends.

Aunty Betty was my godmother. Her husband, Jimmy was the brother of my mother, Jewel. Betty was one of the kindest humans I’ve known. When I last saw Betty, she took my face gently in her hands, looked me in the eyes and told me I was beautiful. This is one the kindest things a relative has ever done or said. Unknown to Betty, my life was falling apart at the time and I was very unwell then. Her grace and kindness was transformative and I wished I’d told her just how impactful this simple and beautiful gesture was for me. I can only imagine the loss her closest loved ones must be feeling. My deepest sympathies to Betty’s beloveds. Jenny
