Tributes

  1. I am sad to receive this news. Adrian was one of the best solicitors and most decent human beings that I had the privilege to work with. He briefed me in my first year at the bar and for the ensuing 21 years. I learnt a lot from him and deeply valued our friendship. I offer my sincere condolences to his loved ones. He was a remarkable man who will be much missed.

  2. Thank you for the notification Jo.

Wonderful man, great memories, great lawyer.

  3. Adrian was a solicitor who embodied all that is good in law. A man of his word, ethical, friendly but a man who would fight for his clients. As a fellow practitioner in Richmond he had my greatest respect.
A good man gone too soon.

  4. Adrian, was a very special man, who I met in 1990. He was Hawkesbury City Councils solicitor for over 20years. He was a colleague, a friend and mentor to me. I will remember the time we shared together with great fondness. His passing has left a sadness with me , this can only be filled with such happy memories of some very funny times together

  5. Adrian was indeed a very very special and kind human being in every way. He helped me in so many ways in my earlier years in business and my personal life.
Much more than just my solicitor and friend. Whilst I hadn’t spoken to Adrian recently, it was certainly a shock to read his passing.
He had such an amazing way to communicate and connect with people.
Was always a pleasant to visit Adrian and Joanna in their Windsor office.
So many times I went there with a problem and so many times I walked out of there with a smile and relief.
    Stay strong Joanna and family.
    Adrian, THANK YOU.

  6. I worked for Adrian for several years, in Windsor, in the early 1990’s. He was my first pupil master. Adrian was a good teacher. Very knowledgeable (of course) about the law and legal practice.
He knew when to throw me into the deep end. He knew when I needed a bit more supervision. Perhaps most importantly, he also knew when to give me a good, rhetorical clip over the ears.
But I knew I was in his good books when I periodically scored a lunch invite at the “Do Drop Inn”. I have very fond memories of those lunch discussions.
Sadly, I haven’t seen Adrian for a number of years, but I will always remember the profound impact he had upon me as a young man and as a young lawyer.
I offer my best wishes to Joanna and the family.

  7. Adrian was the musical director of The Berry Silver Band. The time and effort he put into searching out great tunes and transposing music for us was remarkable. I really appreciate his dedication and commitment to our little music community.

  8. Good bloke,

Fine lawyer with an uplifting smile and a decent handshake.

    Gone too soon.

    Squizzy Taylor

  9. I knew Adrian from the time he had a practice in Dural until he left Windsor. Always an able fellow practitioner and colleague. Adrian was a man of great integrity and a pleasure to deal with. My condolences to the family.

  10. Adrian and I served Articles of Clerkship in the same firm but at different times under the same master solicitor, the wily Bryan Shaw.
We both commenced our respective practices in Windsor in 1974 and were friendly rivals from then until Adrian retired.
We often found ourselves on opposing sides of disputes, many of which we managed to to resolve.
Adrian was a formidable but reasonable opponent, a great tactician and a very knowledgeable lawyer.
Our profession could do with a lot more of his ilk today.
    Vale Adrian
Thinking of you Jo and family.

  11. In earlier days Adrian navigated for me on car rallies and then subsequently for others in some high speed events such as the Targa Tasmania. He was a founding member of the Classic Rally club and with Jo was very generous in the use of his home and property for club events. His treasurers reports were always amusing and brief e.g.”We have plenty of money so stop worrying!”, then of course he supplied endless jokes for the meetings while Jo acted as an official and driver in the Lancia and other cars that he would run in various events. He was able to assist me in the odd legal matter on a number of occasions and was always prepared to offer advice if asked up until quite recently. He was my friend and will be missed!

  12. Sorry to hear of your loss Jo and family. I met Adrian in 1980 when Hawkesbury Council was formed. I was in the town planning department and often had call to instruct Adrian in matters before the Land & Environment Court. We had many cases over the years which continued until I left council and started my practice in Adrian’s chambers. He was always very professional, knowledgeable and lots of fun. We shared a love of cars and music and some rather nice lunches.
He will be missed but no doubt will continue blowing his trumpet in a higher place.

  13. Thankyou everyone
    Love you forever dad ❤️
