Passed away peacefully on Sunday 18th January 2026. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Aisha and Daniel, Roisin and Dallas. Cherished Grandad of Darcy and Thelma. Former husband and lifelong friend to Maeve. Bert will be sadly missed by his loving family and many dear friends.

  3. Greetings mate. It was a real pleasure to share some music with you.
    It was also a pleasure to have been mentored by you in those early years of Seanachie.
    You, as a multi instrument player gave great examples of the possibilities that I went onto play myself.
    Im only sorry we didn’t record as a duo. We were both snapped up no pretty quickly for duties in other bands, of which you were great!

    I got to know you and your family and became fond of you all.
    I sill dearly moss you mate.
    We will catch up on the other-side, I hope you brought your pipes with you.

  4. my best wishes to all immediate family at this very sad time. I personally got to know Bert through calling on him in the carpet business many years ago before he had his own carpet shop. we became good mates and kept in touch over the years. Farewell Bert .
