A true gentleman and great friend sadly missed.
I only have the greatest memories of Dave. Always smiling and so friendly!
Many great memories of Dave over alll the family get togethers.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family.
My wife & I knew Dave in Wagga Wagga from 1977 to 1986. I worked with him. We socialised with him. I even played volleyball with him. Dave was a well liked and respected teacher at Wagga Wagga High School. We finally reconnected with him in 2016 at him at his home in Fairy Meadow. 30 years had flown by. Dave had many wonderful qualities. He made people laugh. He made people happy. Those are two of the main attributes anyone could hope to have. We were not able to attend Dave’s memorial service. I would have liked to have told some funny stories about him. Maybe some day I will get an opportunity to relate them to his family. Kindest regards to his family and all those folk who loved and respected him. John & Sadie Gow, Melrose Park, NSW.
We couldn’t make your funeral mate- I know you would have a laugh at that- we were always late!!!
Rose&I will never forget the’ Urana St Cellars wine tasting events in Wagga- we had a lot of laughs- mostly caused by you( and sometimes Greeny or Wheeldo!!)
Thanks for letting me share a staff room with you at Wagga High-you were a true mate and a fantastic teacher(I know you would scoff and laugh at that BUT that’s what your students told me!)
Will miss you Davo-you made a lasting impression on people. I agree with John Gow’s comment- would’ve told a lot of funny stories about you too!! Probably the best 15 years of my 54 year teaching career at Wagga because of you!!!!Rest In Peace mate
