  5. Tony, thank you simply for being you. You showed kindness, love and acceptance. You were the best father one could wish for. Thank you for loving unconditionally, and for being the best grandfather to Evie. Your presence was calm, and enveloping. There is so much I could say about you that would all be positive.

    We will forever miss you.

But I take comfort in knowing you are not in pain, and you can be with Ian again.

  8. Tony first came into my life as one of Paul Truscott’s school friends — a mate from the early days. When I began going out with Paul, Tony welcomed me warmly. He was always kind, genuine, and a true gentleman.
After many years apart, I reconnected with Tony at his brother-in-law Barry McGinty’s memorial service last year — Barry too being one of Paul’s friends from the past. In a time of loss, it meant so much to see a familiar face and remember those younger days and shared memories.
Tony had a quiet warmth about him. In his life with Julie and their blended family, he created something special — an extended family built on love and acceptance.
My heartfelt condolences to Julie and all the children. Tony will always hold a place in the story of our lives, love Lee Truscott
