Daughter to Alan Vipond Hodgson (dec), Dorothy (nee Eyre) Hodgson (dec), Waverley, NSW.  Sister of Frederick Alan Hodgson, sister-in-law to Janice Hodgson and beloved and only Aunt to Ian, Jenny, David and Scott, and their families.  Beloved friend and companion to Dianne.  Sister in Christ to many while on her various peregrinations.  Chatterer with any who wanted a conversation, and teacher to any who dared to say ‘but I can’t draw’. Drawer, Colourist, Designer, Doodling Abstractions, Home Planning, Landscaper and Gardener

Graduate Diploma of Art Teaching, National Art School and Sydney Teachers College (1949-52) (P Shillito, L Dadswell, B Tribe, A Cook, F Norton) Associated with Frank and Margel Hinder’s Studio (1953-4)Mentored by Nancy Playford (1953-4) Stanmore Girls High School (1953-4); Inverell High School (1955-6); Bankstown Girls High (1956) Bulli High School (1957); Griffith High School (1957-9); Albury High School (1960) Taubmans (1961); Victorian High Schools (1961)Kiama High School (1961-1976) (medically retired).

 

A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday 29 October at Kiama Anglican Churches’ Point Ministry Centre, Terralong Street Kiama, between 10am and 2pm with lunch provided for RSVPs to celebrate Gwenda’s LORD and Saviour and best Friend, Jesus, and her love and life and ministry in her visual artistic expression under Him.
